Renowned landscape architect Hal Moggridge OBE leads a small group on a walk at Sharpham House. The gardens at Sharpham are attributed to Capability Brown although there is no extant written evidence to support this claim. The evidence is in the landscape as it exists today. One of the world’s leading experts in English 18thC garden design, Hal Moggridge will lead us through an investigation of the remaining traces of the original 18thC landscape, looking out for tell-tale keystrokes of Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown. 2016 marks the tricentenary of Capability Brown.
