If you’re receiving this email, you are either already registered to come to ‘Language, Landscape & the Sublime’ this June, or you have previously expressed an interest.
If you have already registered
We look forward to seeing you in June.
Registration opens at 09.00 on Wednesday June 29, with the first session beginning at 09.40. If you are travelling down the evening before and are staying at Dartington, please find your way to Hotel Reception (24 hours). There are plenty of signs around, but basically you are looking for a drive with a cattle grid at the end of it, heading towards the formal grounds. If you’re staying at Sharpham, they will have sent you information about checking in.
On the Tuesday evening before the conference begins, we are hosting an evening of readings in nearby Totnes, at the Barrel House. Find directions to the Barrel House here or on the programme page of the website. The evening starts at 8pm, and there is a charge of £2.50 on the door. Totnes is a short taxi ride from Dartington Hall. You can find a list of taxi companies here (at the bottom of the page).
If you haven’t already done so, you should RESERVE YOUR WORKSHOP. All the workshops have limited numbers, so the sooner you reserve the more likely you are to get your first choice. Your choice of workshop also determines where you will spend Day 2 of the conference. See programme for details. You can book your workshop here (there is no cost).
You can book a place on Hal Moggridge’s walk at Sharpham House on Day 2 (note that this is subject to weather conditions). You can also book transportation between Dartington and Sharpham (£5 each way).
If you haven’t already booked your accommodation we also strongly advise doing so as soon as possible, particularly if you want to stay either at Dartington or at Sharpham.
If you are a Presenter
We’d really appreciate it if you’d take five minutes to fill in this form.
If you’re planning to come…
…but have not yet registered.
Places are scarce. Although we’ve added some additional places, there are now fewer than ten remaining. We can’t add any more because of physical limitations of the venue. There are no concession or bursary places left.
